Position Summary:
Oakdale School is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and dedicated Middle School Grade English Language Arts Teacher to join our middle school faculty. The ideal candidate will foster a love for literature and writing while building essential literacy skills in a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging ELA lessons aligned with state standards and school curriculum

• Incorporate a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that supports academic and personal growth

• Integrate technology and project-based learning to enhance instruction

• Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback

• Communicate regularly with families and colleagues regarding student development

• Collaborate with grade-level and content-area teams to support student success

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Valid teaching certification for middle school ELA (or eligibility to obtain one)

• Prior teaching experience in upper elementary or middle grades preferred

• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills

• A commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous professional growth
