Job Summary: Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Completion of Paraprofessional I & II training or willingness to complete upon hire (required)
Experience working with children or in a school setting (preferred)
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with students with disabilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students under the direction of the special education teacher
Assist with data collection and documentation of student progress
Support students with daily living skills, mobility, and transitions as needed
Help implement accommodations and modifications in the classroom setting
Supervise students in various settings (e.g., classroom, cafeteria, playground, field trips)
Participate in training, professional development, and team meetings as required
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Oakdale School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with diverse learning needs in both general education and special education settings. The successful candidate will work closely with special education teachers and support staff to assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), provide academic and behavioral support, and help foster an inclusive learning environment for all students.
