Summary:
The Facilities Director is responsible for operations including but not limited to: Buildings & Grounds (custodial services, maintenance, grounds keeping, facility planning & use, parking/traffic, and energy efficiency), Inventories/Assets/Risk Management, Safety & Security including emergency plans and compliance/drills, and school security scheduling. The Facilities Manager manages and maintains friendly, positive, customer-service oriented departments and follows all legal and financial/budgetary regulations and processes related to those departments.
Duties: Facilities Director reports directly to the Superintendent and may be asked to serve as a resource to the Superintendent’s Administrative Leadership Team. Additionally, the Facilities Manager will serve as a resource for the board, the staff, and the public in interpreting and/or implementing the District’s mission, vision, and policies as related to the departments listed above.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to: Buildings & Grounds (custodial services, maintenance, grounds keeping, facility planning & use, parking/traffic, and energy efficiency), Inventories/Assets/Risk Management, and Security including emergency plans and compliance/drills, and school security scheduling. Promotes the overall effectiveness of the organization by performing tasks and assuming responsibilities of other members of the departments during peak periods or when there is an overload of duties.

Qualifications:
? Three or more years of progressive experience in a school setting or related business
? Experience with oversight/management of custodial services, maintenance, grounds keeping, and facility use
? Awareness of Oklahoma school law, accreditation standards, and applicable state/federal guidelines
? Experience working in a highly-effective school environment in collaboration with administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, students, board members, and patrons.
? Preferred- a current, valid Oklahoma CDL bus driver’s license.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Supervises, evaluates, and develops human capital among District employees assigned as direct reports including, but not limited to support staff, custodians, janitors, groundskeepers, skilled trades employees, maintenance employees, security officer, and any other assigned clerical and/or support staff. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general professional journals, technical manuals/procedures, and/or government regulations. Ability to write reports and correspondences as may be appropriate. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group situations to students, parents, teachers, staff and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to plan budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so. Ability to maintain accurate records and supportive documentation for projects under the supervision of the position.
REASONABLE ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical and diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use computer and computer related programs and other technologies needed to perform essential job functions. Ability to apply knowledge and current research and theory. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to organize and chair or facilitate committees and meetings. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties and awareness of all school requirements and Board of Directors policies.

The noise level in the work environment is quiet to loud depending on the activities in the particular part of the day and location. Some bus driving may be required. Salary: 50,00-65,000 plus health and full teacher retirement
